Choir Notices: Week of 22nd October 2019

  1. Puccini/Fauré Autumn Concert, 2nd November 2019

Please continue to sell as many tickets as you can.

We will be using folders so please speak to Philip or Roddy on Tuesday if you don’t have one.

  1. Thanks to the eight choir members who took part in the Sing-along this afternoon for the charity MHA at The Church in the Orchard, and especially to Roddy for his accompaniment. There were about 20 older people, including some from Elmshurst Residential Home, plus their carers and several MHA Volunteers. The organiser was very appreciative and suggested ECS returning to run another Sing-along sometime in the new year. Please let Lesley J (chair@enfieldchoralsociety.org.uk) have any feedback including ideas for improvements, and also let her know if you would like to be involved in choosing songs for another time.
  2. Please continue to sign up for
  • the annual Christmas Concert at Blake Court which might still be either Wednesday 18th or Friday 20th December
  • ‘Singing for Syrians’: Christmas carols at a local underground station (either Oakwood or Arnos Grove) on Monday 16th or Thursday 19th December between 5.30pm and 7.30pm – with a note of time you can do if not the whole two hours.                                                   Stop Press: There will be an additional sheet from next week for Tuesday 17th December as the ECS term will have ended with our concert on the previous Saturday.
