Notices for week of 26th November 2019

…with apologies for nonsensical numbering!  LJ

1. On 3rd and 10th December, Anne Rehahn will be bringing along red bow ties and scarves to be worn at the Christmas concert. If you haven’t got one you need to buy one from Anne during the break on those evenings: £2 for scarf, £7 for bow tie. Please buy Christmas concert tickets, available from Vivien.

  1. If you haven’t already done so, please indicate whether or not you’ll be singing in:
  • Christmas concert on Saturday 14th December
  • Blake Court Concert on Friday 20th December (new list as I unfortunately lost the original one)
  • ‘Singing for Syrians’ at Arnos Grove Station on Tuesday 17th December
  1. Please put your name down if you wish to participate in the ‘Singing Feedback Day’ on Saturday 11th January 2020. It’s open to all. As it’s such a long time since our last such event Mark would like to hear members interested in solos/duets/ensemble pieces even if you’ve auditioned previously.

Adoramus Choir and Orchestra are sorry to have to inform you that our BERLIOZ 150 concert is having to be cancelled by Latymer School due to the break down of their heating system. This situation is beyond our control, and we have even tried to re-locate the concert but to no avail. The school is having to close over this weekend to allow engineers complete access to rectify the situation. We are in the process of investigating the financial implications of this and how we best refund people who have already purchased tickets. With huge disappointment on behalf of us all

The ECS Ticket Levy

Obviously it’s a high priority to sell as many tickets as possible for our concerts, and we depend a lot on members for this.   Some amateur choirs insist on members buying a certain number of tickets for each concert, whether or not they can sell them. The ECS levy is a lot gentler.  Every memberContinue Reading
